If there’s anyone who knows about IT security, it’s Cambridge based company Foursys. These guys have been keeping businesses safe for over 20 years and their award winning team have worked with some of the biggest names in the UK.
Andy Wool, Marketing Manager at the company approached Mediademon when he found it was time to rid the company of its ‘techy’, clichéd appearance with a new, modern website. Andy wanted a site which totally centred around the customers needs whilst improving the features within the current site so that users can easily find the IT solutions right for them.
We came up with a fresh design which encompassed the vast amount of information that the previous site held but in a much more user friendly and simplified manner. This helped to eliminate the amount of clicks the user has to make in order to find the information they are looking for, making the user experience much more efficient and enjoyable.
Regularly changing content in a website is key to give an online presence diversity and encouraging revisits. We incorporated a latest news area, a calendar and event listings page as well as a section for testimonials and case studies to keep the content fresh and interesting for returning visitors.
Other features of the new site included downloadable whitepapers and pdf’s, a live chat facility for customers to discuss their requirements with the Foursys team, a password protected Customer Centre, Newsletter sign-ups and social media feeds and links to make content shareable.
As well as all the new front-end features, we needed to make sure the administration of the site was just as clever to make managing the site a breeze. Using Expression Engine as the CMS platform for the site, we ensured that the entire website was fully content managed whilst allowing content to be added and edited by multiple users in several departments.
